No better way to welcome spring than to have a couple of business meetings, on a park bench, in the shadow of a shiny MLB stadium. Actually, there are probably many better ways to welcome spring, but I went with the park bench thing.

This is Petco Park in San Diego, one of the nicer stadiums I have visited (and the nicest one, in the shadow of which, I ever conducted business)

I spoke with RAF today and we find it hard to believe that any actual bizness was conducted here. I guess it comes down to how you define Bizness. Sitting on a bench talking on your cell phone is probably not going to get our vote.

  2. Sorry Ryer, this was legit. The meeting place was selected by my colleague from GE, visiting SD from NY, and eager to soak up as much fresh air and sunshine as possible before heading home. It was a very important meeting with a very good outcome. It went so well that I texted the person waiting for me at the convention center and had them come to the park bench for the second meeting. I will grant you that the 2nd meeting did have a modicum of goofing off and talking about baseball.
