#6 Prettiest Play

I didn't include it in my top 5 because it is so uncommon. When it does happen, it never seems to be an aesthetic play for some reason or another.

But this was beautiful - probably because it was a lefty at bat.

Thank you Jacoby for reminding me. The sixth prettiest play in baseball is the steal of home.

  1. The 8-2 DP is a pretty play as well. The long fly ball...the CF setting up for the one motion catch and thro...the anticipation of the runner tagging...the bullet from center one-hopping to the catcher blocking the plate...the beautiful sweeping tag spraying dirt into the nostrils of the runner sliding in head first...and the eternity long wait for the umpire to yell "YEEERRRRRRR OUT!!!!"...Now that's pretty!!!-T4TR

  2. Jacoby's steal of home was not only pretty because it was a lefty at bat, but because it was the Sox........and the Yankees.
